Appeal To Justice
Since the founding of DV LEAP, we have worked closely with pro bono partners, primarily by working with appellate practice on precedent-setting appeals. In recognition of this important partnership, DV LEAP established the Appeal to Justice Campaign in the fall of 2012 and our partners have answered with their support.
With the launch of the campaign, law firm donors of $2,500 or more are given priority in the placement of pro bono appeals. Additionally, DV LEAP offers the following opportunities to firms that participate in the Appeal to Justice Campaign:
Ø Promoter of Justice ($1,000): the firm will be listed on DV LEAP’s website.
Ø Servant of Justice ($2,500): the firm will be listed on DV LEAP’s website PLUS the firm’s logo will appear on the website.
Ø Advocate of Justice ($5,000): the firm will be entitled to all prior benefits PLUS-- DV LEAP Executive Director Prof. Joan Meier will offer the firm a training on appellate advocacy on behalf of survivors of domestic violence.
Ø Champion of Justice ($10,000) the firm will be entitled to all prior benefits PLUS--DV LEAP will devote an e-newsletter article to the firm and its financial support and pro bono partnership. DV LEAP will also prepare a press release about the firm’s support for survivors.
